Branding Adventure at Box L Ranch

Enjoy one of the Old West's greatest experiences...riding, roping and branding on one of America's cattle ranches. First homesteaded in 1884, the Box L Ranch has been in the same family ever since.

Each May, the culmination of ranch life occurs at "The Branding," a time when neighbors gather to round up, inoculate and brand new calves born over the late winter and early spring months.

While there is plenty of work to do, there's also a lot of time left for fun. Great food, camaraderie, libations and even some swimming in the lake, a bonfire, horseshoes, and a tour of the historical sites on the ranch are just a few of the activities that abound during your 4 day stay.

All meals and lodging are included on this exciting western adventure. "The Branding" usually is scheduled for both the Mother's Day Weekend and Memorial Day Weekend. Cost is $700 per person. Transportation to and from the ranch are your own responsibility.
